On an unusually warm December afternoon in Denver, the Hover team assembled at Cook Street, an establishment of refined taste and questionable confidence in our pasta making abilities. Under the watchful eyes of professional chefs, we were entrusted with flour, eggs, and the noble responsibility of crafting ravioli from scratch. What began as polite instruction quickly escalated into dramatic teamwork, intense debates over filling ratios, and the kind of focus usually reserved for permit deadlines.

As tradition demands, the evening evolved into a full cookoff. Teams of four competed fiercely for prizes, glory, and the coveted title of Hover’s Top Chef. There were bold flavor choices, ambitious plating strategies, and at least one moment where silence fell as judges deliberated. Bragging rights were earned. Stories were born.

The ravioli was surprisingly excellent.
